Getting There
To reach Buck Lake, start from Estacada and drive 26 miles along Route 224 to the Ripplebrook area. Then follow NF-4631 for 2.4 miles, turn right onto NF-4630 for 0.6 miles, and take the first right to stay on NF. The trailhead coordinates (45.11354, -121.86327) lead you to a small parking area with limited spots. From there, it’s a brief 10-minute hike to the lake.

The hot spring emerges next to the clear lake, where you can relax in warm, soothing water with a view of dense forest and open sky. The atmosphere remains quiet, with few visitors even in summer.
