About Old Rocky Ford S.P.

Old Rocky Ford State Park, also known as Little Blue Hole, offers a refreshing escape into one of Oklahoma's cold springs. This primitive swimming hole invites you to immerse yourself in clear, crisp waters surrounded by natural woodland, making it a tranquil spot away from the usual crowds. The water stays cool year-round, providing a revitalizing dip during the hot summer months.

Getting There

To reach Old Rocky Ford S.P., take Exit 17 off the RT 412 toll road and follow ALT 412 east. Turn south onto RT 412A towards Oaks, then head west on RT 82A for about 1.5 miles until you arrive at the creek crossing. Parking is limited, so plan to arrive early, and prepare for a short walk of 2 to 15 minutes down a natural path to the spring.

What to Expect

At this Oklahoma swimming hole, you encounter a simple, rustic setting without developed facilities—just a rope swing, a diving platform, and a couple of porta-potties. The atmosphere remains quiet and laid-back, with few visitors around, allowing you to enjoy the cool spring waters in relative solitude. Keep in mind this spot is clothing-optional, adding to its free-spirited vibe.

Tips for Visitors

Visit during the summer when the water feels especially refreshing and the weather encourages a long soak. Bring your own refreshments, water shoes, and insect repellent to ensure comfort. There are no known fees, but the limited parking calls for early arrival, and remember to pack out all your trash to help maintain this natural setting.
