About Sea Creek Falls
Sea Creek Falls offers an invigorating experience with its cold, cascading waters you can stand under for a natural shower. Though the small plunge pool at the base isn't suited for swimming, the serene forest setting and dramatic waterfall make it a refreshing spot for those exploring hot springs in Georgia. This primitive swimming hole provides a unique contrast to the nearby hot springs, perfect for cooling down on a warm summer day.
Getting There
Reach Sea Creek Falls by taking RT 60 north from Porter Springs toward Suches, then turning onto FS 6 toward Cooper Creek Recreation Area. After about 4 miles, follow the sign on the left for the falls. Parking is limited, so plan to arrive early or be prepared for a short wait. From the parking area, a brief 5-minute walk leads you gently through forest trails to the falls.
What to Expect
The falls’ brisk, clear water offers a crisp shower experience beneath the rocky curtain, surrounded by lush greenery and moss-covered boulders. The plunge pool at the base is small, so it’s more a place to cool off than swim. Expect a quiet, natural atmosphere with minimal facilities, embracing the raw beauty of outdoor swimming holes in Georgia.
