About Twin Falls

Twin Falls in South Carolina offers a refreshing escape with its cool, pristine waters flowing through Reedy Cove Creek. This cold spring combines the tranquility of a private preserve with the thrill of a natural swimming hole, inviting you into a peaceful, untouched environment surrounded by lush forest.

Getting There

To reach Twin Falls, drive west on RT 11 past Table Rock State Park, then turn north on RT 178. After about 3.5 miles, take a left onto Cleo Chapman Road near Bob's Place Tavern and continue for 2 miles. Parking is limited, and a short 10-minute walk leads you through wooded trails to the swimming area beside the falls.

What to Expect

Unlike typical hot springs in South Carolina, Twin Falls features cool, crisp water year-round with no pool beneath the cascading falls itself. Instead, you’ll find a large, deep swimming hole just steps away that remains inviting even in late summer. The atmosphere is quietly serene, with few facilities, so prepare for a primitive and natural swimming experience.

Tips for Visitors

Visit during summer when water levels are ideal for swimming. Bring your own water, snacks, and pack out all trash as this private preserve demands respectful use to maintain access. Wear sturdy shoes for the dirt trail, and keep noise minimal to preserve the area's peaceful ambiance. Fees are not clearly posted, so check local updates before you go.
